Residents and families in the Bro Tudur and Pencraig estate identified a pressing need for a safe, designated outdoor space for children to play ball games.
Previously, young people used an open, unfenced grassed area directly adjacent to a busy residential road. Balls frequently rolled into the street, creating significant safety hazards as children ran out to retrieve them.
Aligned with Môn Actif’s strategic transition toward place-based community working, a local solution was required to deliver a dedicated sports facility while overcoming tight capital timelines, statutory planning requirements, and multi-partner funding dependencies.
